PCS bring out the cakes

'Striking For A Living Wage'

'Happy Birthday BEIS - 3 years of Poverty Pay'. Today was the third
anniversary of the founding of the Dept of Business , Energy and Industrial
Strategy

The strikers walk out of BEIS

and were greeted with a cheer from almost a hundred supporters who
were waiting outside

They make a lot of noise

Candles are lit on the BEIS third birthday cake

The striking workers from BEIS are outsourced to Aramark and BEIS
and get lousy pay and conditions

They want a living wage and to get proper conditions of service by
being employed directly by BEIS

The candles were all burning, but some of the photographers demanded
the workers turn so they could see them better

and when they did the wind blew the candles out - but they asked the
woman holding the cake to pretend to blow them
